Saklikent is located near Tauros mountains, between Fethiye and Kas for million of years. Located east of Esençay, Saklikent has been explored recently. People living in this region found Saklikent almost 20 years ago. Being the longest and deepest gorge in Turkey – 18 km’s long Saklıkent is housing a lot of visitors from all around the world. It is so narrow that the sun cannot penetrate the water, being deliciously icy-cold in the summer. Inside, limestone canyon walls, that is sculpted by water rise up above you. Saklikent is a Canyon which is absolutely beautiful, esoteric and fascinating. You can walk about a kilometer along the water to reach Saklikent. Choose your appropriate dress – you will get soaked, and don’t take your expensive unwaterproof cameras!Beaware to bring submersible shoes as you will sometimes be walking shallow water or mud.
