DAY 2 Istanbul Classics Walking City Tour

Istanbul Classics Tour of "Sultan Ahmet Center", the heart of the "Old City" from where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled.
Hagia (St.) Sophia is one of the greatest architecture around the world. It was constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian then it was turned into an Imperial mosque after the Ottoman conquest in 1453 by Sultan Mehmet ii. Today it is a stunning museum and featuring marvellous Byzantine mosaics. Don’t miss the chance to explore the second-most visited museum in Turkey.
Blue Mosque is famous with its blue Iznik tiles and unique 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet. The last great imperial mosque at Ottoman era; takes its name from 20.000 magnificent blue-toned iznik tiles which is decorating the interior walls.
Hippodrome, center of the chariot races and political activities in the old city. Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column, German Fountain of Wilhelm ii are the monuments, decorating Hippodrome.

DAY 3 Istanbul Bosphorus Cruise (Half Day) Morning

Bosphorus Strait connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara and splits the European and Asian sides of Turkey. This romantic cruise along the Bosphorus will allow you to admire the Dolmabahçe Palace, the Beylerbeyi Palace the Ciragan Palace. Ancient wooden villas and bridges and all the wonderful and unique maritime landscapes.

Dolmabahce Palace, was the first European style palace. It was built by Ottoman Sultans between 1843 and 1846.This is the last residence for Ottoman Sultans with 365 rooms and 22 saloons. Also famous with the great collection of European antiquity. Ataturk lived the final part of his life in the palace and died there. See it from sea side.

 

Ortakoy, is a cosmopolitan area, bordering waters of the Bosphorus. Turks, Greeks, Armenians and Jews are leaving here. The neighbourhood hosts many different religious. It is also a popular spot for locals with art galleries, night clubs, and restaurants. See it from sea side.

 

Rumeli Fortress: is built in 1452 by Sultan Mehmet II, it was the largest and strongest fortress of the Middle Age. See it from sea side.
